Thoughts on Existentialism pt. 1

Today is Wednesday May 7th, 2025. I thought I would get on here to share some thoughts on something I’ve been deeply thinking about; it’s going to be something that will develop as we go, ironically, and so is our very short existence called life. It’s the thought of being trapped in our bodies – the idea of human suffering. Though this is inherently dark, I will try not to let it be.

Let’s talk about life: whether we progress or digress, whether we become enlightened or oppressed into isolation, what makes us happy versus what makes us sad—the extreme polarities. It’s clear that it’s a black-and-white discussion; however, the gray parts of life are where the complications lie.

The reasons why I’ve been so deeply in thought about this subject matter because we live with people around us every day, and we are subjected to their state of existence – their disposition is our disposition. We suppose I like them around if they are family and/ or friends, if we like them, otherwise, the opposing effect. For example, if we have a member with behavioral issues, accepting and living with them is the best way.

Yet, we believe we are immortal in our positivity – instead of accepting fate as an insignificant force of irrelevancy of electrons and neutrons bouncing around lost in the expanding universe, we take on the role of being a main player amongst others, whom we dismiss as MPCs. Let us not let this notion just let it be.

After some times thinking about this matter, I’ve come to understand that I need to allow some time to process the meaning of life as incomplete – in the whole, it should be beautiful, in short it may be dark or it may be eventful, or it may be adventurous, or may be blissful and joyous. In the moment, it can be long and everlasting, and edge-of-your-seat, fight or flight trauma, hyperventilating for a breath of air.

I just think it’s better not to jump to conclusions by just being too fast – I’m going to embrace it and learn from it. I’m going to learn about myself going through it. We can say do it to become a better person, but rather than just trying not to be hasty or a bit early, be late, and find out what’s right around the corner that we can’t see.

So, the human frame is confined by what we don’t know just yet. Progress or regress is yet to be determined.
